P4P3 REUNION/P4P4 LAUNCH TONIGHT!

7 December 2012

Get to Canalside Sports Complex to find out more

Want to find out what we’ve got in store for Pedal for Pounds 4? Then come along to Canalside on Friday 7 December at 7.30pm and all will be revealed!

Rumours have been circulating since the start of the season as to the destination and route of the Club’s fourth annual ‘Pedal for Pounds’ bike ride, so anyone thinking of getting involved and taking part is welcome to come along and find out more.

Town’s Supporter Partnerships Executive Robyn Deegan commented:

“Of all the things I get asked, the potential plan for ‘Pedal for Pounds 4’ is probably the hottest topic!

“Over the three years of the ‘Pedal for Pounds’ bike rides, they have grown from 22 cyclists in 2009 to a staggering 280 last year and we hope that this season’s ride will be even bigger and better.

“It would be great to see as many of the 280 Yeovil riders – as well as anyone else interested in finding out more – packing Canalside on 7 December as we look to reach our £1 million fundraising target for our Academy and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”

The evening will also be a reunion for the ‘Pedal for Pounds’ 3 cyclists and support team and a chance for participants to meet up with their teammates and relive some of the memories of last season’s gruelling ride from Yeovil to Huddersfield.

The P4P3 bike ride saw 280 cyclists pedal from Yeovil to Huddersfield over three and a half days, a ride which raised over £250,000 alone for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign- the Club’s charity partnership which benefits both the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity and Huddersfield Town Academy.

So far over £720,000 has been raised for the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, with the Club’s aim to hit the £1 million mark!
