Youngster looking forward to Question of Sport
An 11 year-old Town fan is gearing up to take on Town’s Director’s at Canalside Sports Complex’s ‘Question of Sport’ event this Saturday.
Billy Charlton will be on HTSA Chairman Steve King’s ‘Fans’ team taking on Town’s team consisting of Chairman Dean Hoyle, Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens and Commercial Director Sean Jarvis.
Billy, who only attended his first Huddersfield Town game last October, can’t wait to take on Town’s Directors according to his Dad, Paul.
“He is really looking forward to it, he can’t wait to take on Dean,” Paul told htafc.com.
“He has met Deano before and had his picture taken with him when he visited his school with the Play-Off Final trophy. He was over the moon when I told him that he could be involved. I have to thank Andy (Shuter) for allowing him on to the team – he won’t let them down, he knows his stuff!"
Paul continued: “He has a photographic memory, it is brilliant. I first noticed it when he was able to recite all the games from last season and the goal scorers! I went out and bought him books and DVDs about Huddersfield Town; he loves reading about the Club. You can ask him about any year of Town’s existence and he will be able to tell you plenty of facts from it.”
The event will take place after the Bolton game on Saturday 8 December and all the money raised will go to the Town Foundation.
The quiz will be refereed by a professional – former Premier League referee Jeff Winter! Town’s very own Paul Ramsden will be the Master of Ceremonies on the evening, whilst band ‘King Monday’ will provide further entertainment.
Entry to the event is absolutely FREE, but there will be auctions and raffles held on the evening with proceeds going to the Town Foundation – the charity that aims to make a difference in our community.
There are no tickets required – simply turn up on the evening at Canalside Sports Complex!
Thanks to Xamax, Denby Dale Yorkshire Pies and Fantastic Media for their support of the evening.
