Alan Lee pops into Emley Show on Saturday

Huddersfield Town’s npower League 1 Play-Off Trophy was one of the star attractions as around 15,000 people attended the Emley Show on Saturday.

The Play-Off Trophy was accompanied by Town mascot ‘Terry the Terrier’ and other representatives from the Club at the annual event.

Striker Alan Lee – fresh from his 90 minutes at Radcliffe Borough the previous evening – also made a surprise appearance at the show, much to the delight of Town fans in attendance.

Town joined up with Club Partner Skelmanthorpe United for the day on their stall, who were showcasing their own offers ahead of their new season.

“It was a great event to be part of,” said Town’s Business Development Manager Mark Davies.

“The show was very well organised and attended and is clear to see why it is such a big show throughout the region.

“It was brlliant to see what a high number of Huddersfield Town fans were there on the day – it’s very encouraging from our point of view. As always there was a big clamour as people got their photo with the trophy and Alan when he made his surprise visit, and everyone seems really excited as we prepare for the upcoming Championship season.

“It is important for Town to be present at local events like this; we are a community club and any added value we can give back to our loyal supporters is a real positive.

“We’d like to say a big thanks to the organisers and to Skelmanthorpe United for having us and we look forward to heading back there next year!”
