First team squad on display at Boundary Park
Town Manager Simon Grayson has selected his starting XI for the first team’s pre-season friendly at Oldham Athletic today; 3pm kick-off at Boundary Park.
The Terriers are expected to line up in a 4-3-3 formation this afternoon, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies protected by a strong back four of Calum Woods, new boy Joel Lynch, skipper Peter Clarke and Jack Hunt. Oscar Gobern will anchor the midfield with Keith Southern and Adam Clayton just ahead of him, leaving Danny Ward and Kallum Higginbotham to flank the central Jimmy Spencer in attack.
Town’s bench looks strong too, with the likes of Jordan Rhodes and Sean Scannell among the ranks.
