TOWN BOXING CLEVER!

30 August 2012

New Club partnership announced

Huddersfield Town is broadening its Club Partnership scheme by adding locally based Gladiators Boxing Academy to its list of associates.

Stepping away from the pitch and into the ring, the Terriers have paired up with Huddersfield’s Gladiators Boxing Academy to become its latest Club Partnership.

Club Ambassador Andy Booth visited the gym last week and commented:

“It is always enjoyable to visit somewhere different and the people at Gladiators Boxing Academy were first class with me,” said Boothy.

“Our Club Partnership scheme isn’t just focused on local football clubs it is about bettering sports clubs within the areas. We will use our links within the community to help Gladiators Boxing Academy.”

The Boxing Academy welcomes people of all ages and abilities to their Club. If you are new to the discipline they are keen to show you the ropes in a friendly, safe and non-threatening environment.

Gladiators Boxing Academy will assist Town mascot Terry the Terrier on a match day as he visits young fans ahead of kick-off, they will also take part in a number of the Club’s half-time games.
