FITC coaches work with Pennine Housing

Huddersfield Town’s ‘Football in the Community’ coaches delivered a Soccer School with a difference in the Hipperholme area last week.

The Soccer School was totally free of charge to kids from the local area, who could simply come and join in!

The project was funded by Pennine Housing; a not for profit organisation setup to deliver the aims of residents in the Calderdale community.

As per usual with Town’s Soccer Schools, kids enjoyed an afternoon of football-based activities including a penalty shootout – and even got a look at Town’s npower League 1 Play-Off winner’s trophy!

Town’s Community Manager Rob Day commented:

“Our coaches always enjoy getting out and about in the community and it was great to team up with Pennine Housing to deliver this Soccer School with a difference.

“Some of the kids from the area wouldn’t usually be able to attend our Soccer Schools and it was great to see how much they enjoyed the afternoon.

“Hopefully we can run another Soccer School in that area in the future.”

Town is running further Soccer Schools during August. For more information on each soccer school, please follow the links below to download a PDF for the pertinent area:
