RECORD NUMBERS ATTEND OPEN DAY!

Fans flock to watch Town train

Huddersfield Town held its annual Open Day on Tuesday 14 August which saw over 1,000 Town fans flock to the Stadium!

‘The Yorkshire Club’ once again threw open its doors and invited everyone down to the Stadium for the ever-popular Open Day.

As in previous seasons there was an open training session, with Simon Grayson’s first team squad taking to the pitch as spectators took in one of their final training sessions ahead of the start of the npower Championship campaign.

Doors opened at 9.30am and immediately fans got a final opportunity to have their picture with the npower League 1 Play-Off Trophy before the new season starts.

From 10:30 up until 12pm, fans watched as Town trained on the pitch from the Direct Golf UK stand.

Once training finished fans checked out the team coach, went on a tour of the ground, had a look in the Boardroom, had their picture taking next to a mock-up of Town’s pre and post-match press conference area and had a nosey in the tunnel area and the changing rooms!

As a rare opportunity, the Billy Smith Memorabilia covering the 1920’s glory period of the Club was also on display.

At 1pm fans headed over to the Fantastic Media Stand where the players and management held a signing session until 3pm, which concluded a money can’t buy day out at the Club.

There were also many unique items to buy as we incorporate our traditional ‘Kit Man’ sale into the day, giving supporters the opportunity to get theirs hands on the players’ kit as well as other exclusive items from last season.

Below are some tweets from Town fans about yesterday's Open Day from @htafcdotcom:
