Town say ‘Welcome to the Championship’ vs. Forest

Huddersfield will host its first Championship game in just one week’s time when Nottingham Forest visit the Stadium – and you can be a part of the historic occasion!

Tickets are on sale now, starting at just £19 for adults and £5 for under-8s if bought in advance of match day and there is plenty to look forward to on the evening as the Terriers take on the English second tier.

On the pitch it will be the first time that Simon Grayson’s side are in competitive action on home soil since the momentous promotion to the division at Wembley Stadium back in May and it promises to be a great match against a resurgent Nottingham Forest, who are under new ownership and a new manager in former Doncaster man Sean O’Driscoll.

That could mean home debuts for the likes of Sean Scannell – who looked very impressive in the pre-season friendly against FC Barcelona B.

Off the pitch, we’re welcoming back a few Town players from the Club’s last spell in the old Division Two – with the likes of Kenny Irons, Kevin Gray, Clyde Wijnhard, Chris Beech, Craig Armstrong, Simon Baldry, Nat Brown and Paul Scott confirmed – and hopefully more to follow!

We also host the final of the fundraising ‘Keep It Up’ five a side tournament, with Team Grey taking on Team Purple during the half-time interval.

The npower League 1 Play-Off Trophy will also be on display pre-match in our Gazebo outside the Direct Golf UK Stand, giving you the chance to have your picture taken with a piece of Town history.
