Kay travelled to Milton Keynes on Thursday to complete a deal with the npower League 1 outfit and took part in the Dons' training session and annual photo-day.

The 29 year-old, who is equally capable in defence or midfield, has been the Club’s vice-captain during the last three seasons.

Having joined Town in the summer of 2009 from Tranmere; Antony made 48 appearances in his first season, scoring six goals – including a late winner against Walsall.

In his second season he made a further 40 appearances notching five goals, including the crucial late equaliser against Bournemouth in the Play-Off semi-final second leg – he then went on to score the winning penalty to send Town to the final. Kay partnered Peter Clarke in the final as the Terriers suffered defeat to Peterborough.

During last season, Antony had a further 31 appearances including 11 under Simon Grayson after his arrival in February, with his last coming against Bournemouth in early April 2012.

Huddersfield Town Manager, Simon Grayson thanked Antony for his efforts during his time at the Club:

“Antony has been a good servant to the football club, but he needs first team football. The football club has moved on and I have brought in other new players.

“It is only fair to allow players to go in search of first team football when you can’t offer it to them. I wish him all the best where ever he ends up.”
