Having worked with the Head Coach extensively in the past, Šarić joins the Club as Assistant Coach, with the 59-year-old Bosnian a midfielder in his playing days across both Germany and Switzerland. Holding a UEFA Pro Licence, his coaching career began with LR Ahlen in 2003 in 2. Bundesliga before becoming Head Coach of Bonner SC in Oberliga between 2006 and 2008.
Asif then crossed paths with André for the first time, becoming Assistant Coach at SC Paderborn and making up part of André’s staff that help guide the side to the Bundesliga against the odds in 2014. Going on to again join André’s staff at Hannover 96 between 2017 to 2019, Asif took temporary interim control of their first team following Breitenreiter’s eventual departure, remaining an assistant with the side until 2021. Now joining Town, this will mark the third time André and Asif have worked together.
