Young Terriers set to play Newcastle United in the Premier League Cup

Our B Team are back in Premier League Cup action on Friday evening as we travel to Newcastle United for a 7pm kick-off in the North East.

Following our 0-3 loss to Fleetwood Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday 10 November, we now travel to face Newcastle United for the second time in the group stages.

We welcomed the Young Magpies to HD1 in our first game of this season's Premier League Cup campaign, which finished 1-1 due thanks to an equaliser from Kyle Hudlin.

Our reverse Premier League Cup fixture against Newcastle United will take place at 7pm on Friday 25 November, with the game being held at Whitley Park (Whitley Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE12 9FA).

Supporters are welcome to attend Friday evening’s 7pm kick-off, with admission prices set as follows:

Adults - £3
Concessions - £1

A late goal from Northern Ireland Under-21 striker Conor Falls gave Town’s B Team a fantastic win over hosts Newcastle United in the latest Premier League Cup group stage game on Friday evening.

Town performed very well in the north east and took a deserved win when Falls, who has recently returned from injury, finished a scramble in the box in the 86th minute.

The win propels Town back into the reckoning in the qualifying group, with Jon Worthington’s side now second in the four-team group behind Nottingham Forest and ahead of Fleetwood Town and Newcastle. The top two teams will proceed to the knockout stages.
