B TEAM HOST FLEETWOOD ON WEDNESDAY

10 January 2023

Find out more about Town’s B team game against Fleetwood Town

- Huddersfield Town B team back in action on Wednesday
- Young Terriers host Fleetwood in the Central League
- Supporters can attend the game at the Millers Oil High Performance Complex

Huddersfield Town’s B team are back in action on Wednesday 11 December when they host Fleetwood Town; 1pm kick-off.

The Young Terriers are set to host Fleetwood Town in the Central League on Wednesday 11 January at 1pm, with the game taking place at Millers Oils High Performance Complex (509 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, HD2 1YJ).

Our last game ended in a 1-3 defeat at home to Accrington Stanley in a friendly held at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex, which saw Kyle Hudlin start and score to equalise just before half-time, as well as the return of Matty Pearson in the first half of the game.

Jon Worthington’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways after five games without a win and will be looking to regain some form as they move towards their Premier League Cup knockout game in February against either Brentford or Blackburn Rovers.

The Young Terriers’ last game in the Central League was a 1-1 draw with Preston North End on November 22. That result leaves the B team sixth on two points, with Fleetwood below on one point.

Fleetwood’s previous outing was in a 6-2 defeat to Blackpool on 20 December in the Central League.

Supporters can attend the 1pm kick-off on Friday completely free of charge!

B TEAM REPORT: HARRATT, SIMPSON AND JACKSON SCORE FOR TOWN

11 January 2023

Kian Harratt, Tyreece Simpson and Ben Jackson score in Central League draw against Fleetwood Town

- Huddersfield Town B 3-3 Fleetwood Town
- Kian Harratt, Tyreece Simpson and Ben Jackson on the scoresheet
- Three goals within the first half for Town

Huddersfield Town’s B Team secured a point in the Central League after a home draw against Fleetwood Town on Wednesday afternoon at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex.

A strong Town side was put out for the B Team this afternoon as Luke Mbete, Tyreece Simpson, Ben Jackson and Kian Harratt were named in the starting line-up.

Building up his minutes, Tyreece Simpson worked to push the limits of the Fleetwood defence, alongside Kyle Hudlin.

Our youngsters first goal came from Harratt in order to equalise for Town in the 22nd minute, he carried the ball forward and had his first shot blocked at the edge of the box, this was then picked up by Tom Iorpenda, who then shot from a narrow angle and put the ball through the legs of Luc Rees for Harratt to slot into the back of the net.

Despite missing his first chance from close range, which went over the bar following a low cross from Hudlin, Simpson scored his first goal in blue and white stripes to put Town ahead 2-1 – this goal came after Connor Mahoney slipped the ball to Brodie Spencer on the byline and then his ball across the face of goal found Simpson and his shot from range was deflected into the back of the net.

Our B Team captain Ben Jackson put us 3-1 up before half time, as he shot from the edge of the box and fired the ball into the back of the net.

After a host of changes made by our visitors at half time, Fleetwood showed their experience as they came back to secure a point in a 3-3 draw in the Central League.
