At the same time, Town’s Under-17 side played an action-packed Clarets Cup game against the Latics’ Under-17 team.

Despite a hat-trick from striker Kian Harratt, Leigh Bromby’s team lost a high-scoring game 5-3.

Their next game comes on Saturday; a game at home to Chesterfield in the Youth Alliance League; 11am kick-off at PPG Canalside. The game will be free to watch for supporters!
