Huddersfield Town U23s drew 1-1 in the Professional Development League game against Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Monday evening.

Much like the first team, the Under-23s were also in action on Monday evening as they travelled South-West to face Bristol City in the Professional Development League at their First Team Stadium, Ashton Gate.

Bunn made six changes from the side that were defeated by Cardiff City at PPG Canalside with Schofield, Thomas, Edmonds-Green, Kane, Booty & Boyle all coming into the side in place of Ryan, Dalling, Crtichlow-Noble, Cogill, Marriott & Taylor.

The game kicked off at 7pm with both sides enjoying spells of possession, but unable to create anything noteworthy in terms of chances.

In the 22nd minute the game sprung into life as Town opened the scoring. The goal came as Dom Tear saw his cross turned in by a Bristol City defender, giving the ‘Young Terriers’ a first-half goal advantage.

Around 20 minutes later with half-time approaching, the host got back into the game. An initial effort from Akpobire was saved by Ryan Schofield in the Town goal before Garita gathered the loose ball and smashed it home to draw the sides level.

Little noteworthy goalmouth action was to follow up until the 67th minute as a cross from Town full-back Jordan Thomas was met by Luca Colville. But Colville was unable to guide the ball home from close range as he put his shot wide of the target.

Town then introduced Isaac Marriott for Luca Colville in the 69th minute and then brought-on George Danaher in place of Jack Boyle in the 77th minute as they chased the match winner.

The goal wasn’t to come as the game ended in a draw. The next Professional Development League game for the Under-23s comes on Monday 18 September at PPG Canalside as Frankie Bunn’ side host Colchester United; kick-off 2pm.
