Huddersfield Town Under-17s Gulutte Zunda is happy with his development since becoming a Young Terrier!
Gulutte joined Huddersfield Town’s Under-17 set-up in July 2019 moving from his hometown in Sweden.
The midfielder was quick to address how he has found living in Yorkshire away from his family.
“It has been a good move I think, I have been able to learn a lot since I moved here.
“I have learnt a lot more English as well as the responsibility of living on my own away from my family, this has been a good change for me, and I have grown a lot more.”
As well as getting used to new surroundings, the 17-year-old has also had to adapt to a new way of playing.
“The style of football at Huddersfield Town is both similar and different to the style of football that I am used to in Sweden.
“At Town, I have learnt more about how to pass the football as well as how to control my aggression when playing a match.”
Gulutte spoke about the support that he’s had at Town since his move from his teammates Loick (Ayina) and Brahima (Diarra), who have also moved to the Terriers from a different country.
“I have become good friends with Loick and Brahima because we are all in the same situation, we are all living away from our families so all have our own responsibilities.
“They have definitely helped me with my confidence and focus.
“The coaches have helped me a lot with the move, which included teaching me how to play their style of football and because I like to dribble, they have taught me when to dribble so that I only dribble when I need to and not every time I have the ball.”
You can watch Gulutte Zunda and his teammates in action tomorrow (Saturday 18 January 2020) when they travel to take on Grimsby Town at their Training Ground, Walthan (DN37 0HT).
Kick-off is 11.30am and Huddersfield Town supporters are welcome to attend.
