REPORT: QPR 1-2 TOWN U18s

2 September 2017

Bromby’s side win in London

- Town Under-18s win 2-1 at QPR
- Mason O’Malley and George Danaher with goals for Town
- Highlights on HTTV next week

Huddersfield Town Under-18s travelled South to face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday morning and left the Capital with all three points having won the game 2-1.

The young Town side were looking for a response following the heavy 5-1 defeat they suffered at home to Watford in their last Professional Development League game on Saturday.

Bromby made two changes to his side introducing Cameron Taylor and Dahomey Raymond at the expense of Matty Daly and Isaac Marriott.

The game kicked off at 10.30am and it took the Terriers less than 20 minutes to get the opening goal. Young wing-back Mason O’Malley got on the scoresheet in the 18th minute; the exact response Bromby was looking for from his side.

Town were forced into an early substitution in the 21st minute as Saul Milovanovic was forced off through injury and duly replaced by Jordan Eli.

Half-time passed and 15minutes into the second-half the hosts got the equaliser, leaving the Terriers with around half-an-hour to find the winner.

Under-16s player, Jake Kelly was then introduced to proceedings in the 65th minute in place of Dahomey Raymond with Town chasing the winner.

10 minutes later the eventual winner came as George Danaher was on target in the 75th minute as Town held out for the win.

Town Under-18s starting line-up (3-5-2):
Luke Mewitt; Ben Jackson, Cameron Taylor, Oran Thompson; Mason O’Malley, Scott High, Dahomey Raymond (Jake Kelly, 65’), Saul Milovanovic (Jordan Eli, 26’), Jordan Thomas; Micah Obiero, George Danaher

Unused Subs:
Sam Kelly, Tom Bamford
