Huddersfield Town Under-18s were in action on Saturday morning at PPG Canalside ahead of the First Team’s game against Tottenham Hotspur at lunchtime.

The ‘Young Terriers’ were looking to build on last week’s emphatic 4-1 win at Nottingham Forest as they welcomed Yorkshire-rivals Sheffield United to PPG Canalside.

Leigh Bromby made one change from the side that beat Nottingham Forest as Jordan Thomas came into the side in place of Mason O’Malley.

The game kicked off and it was the visitors who were to take the lead with 33 minutes on the clock, either side of first-half bookings for both Matty Daly and Isaac Marriott.

Town were then awarded a penalty in the 40th minute handing them the perfect opportunity to get back into the game. George Danaher stepped up and saw his penalty wonderfully saved down in the corner to deny Town the equaliser.

Two minutes later Town were to get the equaliser through Dom Tear who applied the finish to round off a wonderfully worked counter attack by the young Town side.

Sheffield United pegged Town back on the stroke of half-time as they grabbed the goal advantage sending Town into the break a goal down.

Town were back level eight minutes into the second-half as young winger Dom Tear grabbed his second goal of the game. Matty Daly then fired the Terries into the lead for the first time in the game in the 65th minute as Town closed in on the three points at PPG Canalside.

Town were only to take one point from the game as the visitors grabbed an equaliser with only two minutes remaining as the game ended in a three-all draw.

Town’s Starting Line-Up (4-2-3-1):
Luke Mewitt; Ben Jackson, Cameron Taylor, Oran Thompson, Jordan Thomas; Isaac Marriott, Scott High; Matty Daly, Olly Dyson (Ben Mills, 78’), Dom Tear; George Danaher (Micah Obiero, 63’)

Unused Subs:
Mason O’Malley
