- Town U18s defeated at home to Watford
- Matty Daly with the goal for Town
- Highlights available on HTTV next week

Huddersfield Town Under-18s suffered defeat at home to Watford on Saturday morning losing 5-1.

The game was played at PPG Canalside on Saturday morning with an 11am kick-off, prior to the first team’s home tie against Southampton.

Leigh Bromby made two changes to the side that drew 1-1 at Colchester United with Saul Milovanovic and Isaac Marriott coming in at the expense of Sam Gibson and Dahomey Raymond.

The game didn’t get off to the best of starts as Town found themselves two goals down inside the first 11 minutes of the game at PPG Canalside.

Town rallied and managed to get a goal back in the 25th minute as attacking-midfielder, Matty Daly, pulled one back for The Terriers; providing them with the ideal chance to redress their poor start to the game.

With half time approaching, Watford got their third of the game in the 36th minute, making the challenge for Leigh Bromby’s side to get anything from the game that bit more difficult.

Half time came and two minutes into the second half Watford grabbed their fourth of the afternoon.

Bromby then made three subs in the 58th, 65th and 79th minutes introducing Cameron Taylor, Dahomey Raymond and Ben Mills in place of George Danaher, Isaac Marriott and Mason O’Malley respectively.

The subs made little difference as Watford grabbed their fifth in injury time at the end of the game, condemning the Young Terriers to a heavy defeat.

Starting Line-up (352):
Luke Mewitt; Ben Jackson, Oran Thompson, Saul Milovanovic; Mason O’Malley (Ben Mills, 79’), Scott High, Matty Daly, Isaac Marriott (Dahomey Raymond, 65’), Jordan Thomas; Micah Obiero, George Danaher (Cameron Taylor, 58’)

Unused Subs:
Luke Jackson, Jordan Eli
