Tom Lees

Date of birth

Tom Lees joined Town as a free agent ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

The centre back signed a two-year deal, with the Club having the option of extending the contract into the 2023/24 season in due course.

Standing at 6’ 1” tall, Tom brings a wealth of Championship experience to our ranks, with nearly 400 of his 500 career appearances coming in the second tier.

Since making his Championship debut in 2011, the 30-year-old has made at least 30 appearances a season across the second tier and cups; that's 10 consecutive campaigns.

He arrived at Town as a free agent, having departed Sheffield Wednesday at the conclusion of the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The 2021/22 season was a break-through season for Tom as he was a regular in the starting XI, making 43 appearances and scoring three goals as Town reached Wembley in the Play-Off Final.

Continuing this run into the 2022/23 season, Lees made 42 appearances, scored two goals and created one assist - he also captained the Terriers on multiple occasions during the season.
