Young goalkeeper Giosue Bellagambi joined Huddersfield Town as a scholar ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The Croydon-born 'keeper was a regular starter for the Under-17s in his debut season after signing from junior club Lambeth Tigers.

He split his game time between the Under-19s and Under-17s in 2019/20.

Giosue has attended goalkeeping camps for both England and Italy since joining the Terriers, and is also eligible to represent Uganda. 

May 2022 saw Gio receive his first senior call-up for Uganda’s national team!

The 20-year-old will link up with former Serbian striker Micho’s side in a provisional 33-man squad for Uganda’s AFCON 2023 qualifiers. The Cranes start their qualifiers against Algeria in Oran on Saturday 4 June, before taking on Niger on Wednesday 8 June in St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
