Huddersfield Town signed Jed Steer on a 28 day Emergency Loan deal from Premier League club Aston Villa until Thursday 8 October inclusive.

The Norwich-born ‘keeper came through the ranks at his hometown club having joined the Canaries as schoolboy. Jed has also represented England at youth level making a total of 14 appearances for England at U16, U17 and U19 levels.

He signed a professional contract at Norwich in 2010. During his time there he had two loan spells making 16 appearances for Yeovil and Cambridge collectively.

In June 2013 he made a reported £450,000 move to his current club Aston Villa to join Brad Guzan and Shay Given, signed by Paul Lambert. He made his Premier League debut for Villa in a 0-1 home defeat to Burnley in May 2015. 

Jed has also had recent loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and a second spell at Yeovil Town, both in League 1. He made 13 appearances for Doncaster and 12 for Yeovil last season.

He made his Town debut as a deputy for the injured Joe Murphy in the Sky Bet Championship game at Cardiff City on 12 September 2015.
