Since the publication of '99 Years & Counting', author John Ward has continued to research the club statistics and has added facts missed in the book and has corrected and amended a number ofinaccuracies.

As you will recall, exhaustive and strenuous effort was made by the authors before the publication of "99 Years & Counting" to record all the facts such as seasonal appearances and goalscorers, hat-tricks, penalties, and abandoned matches, etc. so as to complete the full statistical history of the Club. Unfortunately, in a book that broke the usual mold for its genre, it was not to be; inevitably some facts were missed and others reported incorrectly. Furthermore, in recording more than a million numbers it was predictable that there would be inaccuracies and although some of the mistakes can be attributed to the authors many of them are printer's computer default errors.

Additionally, the original drafts of the "Transfer Trails" were retyped by staff at the Galpharm Stadium in order to remove details of fees and player exchanges. The computer programme used by the club was incompatible with that of the author and the final version following the changes was not returned to the author for checking and approval and this oversight resulted in multiple errors which were not noticed before the book went into publication.
