Here it is! Huddersfield Town's Centenary kit for the 2008/09 season - as voted for by you, the supporters.

This is the shirt that you voted for out of the three choices we gave you back in January. It can be seen here being modelled by winger Malvin Kamara (who believes that particular shirt won because he was wearing it!).

If you don't remember what the others look like, we've printed a picture of them below.

Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone who voted for the either of the shirts. We were inundated with not just votes, but plenty of feed back from passionate supporters who felt strongly about a particular feature or a particular design. For example, one person said: "I'm glad we returned to the stripes on the back"; another said, "I like the red shirt because of the historical significance"; whereas some could not make up their minds, "I like the thickness of the stripes on shirt one, but the colour of the lighter stripes on shirt two."

Three Choices 320

It was an incredibly close vote, which was due in part to the fantastic designs from Mitre, with just 14 votes separating first and second place. It was however, a two-horse race. Unsurprisingly, the photo finish was between the two blue and white striped shirts. (For what its worth, we liked the lighter blue shirt with the Centenary blue in the stripes, but as we all know, things do not always go your way in football!)

Despite red being the first shirt colour associated with Town (we were once known as the Scarlet Runners), you all plumped for the traditional blue and white stripes that we all hold so dear.

If you have not yet been lucky enough to see the shirts in the flesh, there are some fantastic details which make the shirt Centenary-special.

As well as blue and white stripes on the front and back, as you would expect on a special commemorative shirt, there is a gold trim and gold stitching throughout.

Every shirt has Mitre in gold on the right and where the heart is on the left, the Huddersfield Town crest with the words 'CENTENARY 1908 - 2008' embroidered underneath, with of course the Thrice Champions stars above.

The collar makes a welcome return and it has some intricate gold embroidery on the back which reads Huddersfield Town FC; but if you like to wear your colour up, the lining is all gold making the shirt both classy and unmistakable.
