Huddersfield Town's new access control system has got a big thumbs-up from the first family that experienced it in action against Tranmere Rovers last Saturday!
Jane Scriven sits in the Fantastic Family Stand with her sons Myles (18) and James (13) and told htafc.com that the new system was very easy to use after becoming the first family to use the new card-based access system.
"Our experience on Saturday was very easy and it should make everything a lot easier through the course of the season. It's a lot easier than the old ticket booklets, as the card can fit in your purse or wallet and you're less likely to lose it!"
All Season Ticket holders received a new style 'Season Card' ahead of the season that features a unique bar code, which will be eventually used to access the entire Stadium on Town matchdays as opposed to the old ticket-based system.
Supporters housed in the Fantastic Family Stand were the first to benefit from the new access control system against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday and Huddersfield Town Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens reported that everything went smoothly:
"These systems are well established in most modern stadia. This is a Huddersfield Town funded and led initiative and builds on the Customer Relationship Management system installed last season.
"We were delighted that everything went to plan regarding the new access control system and the feedback we have had from supporters is very positive for the first phase.
"I'm looking forward to us rolling out this new system across the whole Stadium on Town matchdays in the coming months. Once it is all up and running I'm sure it will be used for all events here and all the Stadium's users will be able to benefit.
Nigel presented Jane and Myles with limited edition Patrons' scarves (click HERE for more information) to thank them for their continued support, with younger son James being handed a membership to 'Team Terriers 2', the Club's new junior membership scheme (click HERE for more details).
Season Ticket holders in other areas of the ground received their traditional paper booklets as well as a new Season Card. These will replace the booklets when access control is introduced to other stands and hospitality areas later in the football season.
The new Season Ticket cards hold information about the individual holder and display details and a personal client reference number. Supporters should keep their card safe, because there will be a charge of £20 for replacements.
In due course fans will be able to book online and print tickets at home, making purchasing far easier and avoiding postal times or visits to the Ticket Office.
