After a very busy day at the Galpharm Stadium Ticket Office, the Club is delighted to announce that over 15,000 tickets have been sold for the big Centenary game against Arsenal on Wednesday evening (kick-off 7pm).

That figure, which includes over 2,500 away supporters, has been supplemented by today's brisk sales that have topped the thousand ticket mark.

Any tickets that have currently been bought will be posted out this evening, but those purchased after 5pm today will have to be collected from the Ticket Office on the evening of the game.

Ticket Office Manager Sue Beaumont told the Club's official website she was very pleased with business.

"We're all delighted with the take-up of Arsenal tickets and it could prove to be the most popular pre-season friendly of all time!

"Two previous matches against Leeds have drawn crowds of 18,850 and 15,502 but the biggest pre-season crowd of all time was against Argentinean side Independiente at Leeds Road in 1954 - 20,042. It would be nice to push that mark!"
