SAVING FOR THE FUTURE

Posted on: Tue 01 May 2012

Yorkshire Building Society is one of Town's longest serving Club Partners and whilst they've helped look after thousands of supporters finances, they have also provided vital income to the development of our Academy to help produce current first team players like Alex Smithies, Jack Hunt and Tom Clarke, and long may this continue!

Every year the Huddersfield Town Academy receives 1% of the balance of Terriers Accounts, which is Huddersfield Town's official savings account. To date, the HTAFC Academy has received over £600,000 from the Yorkshire through the accounts.

Town's Business Development Manager Mark Davies commented "The donated money from the Terriers Accounts financially helps the Academy in a number of ways, from training costs and facilities to staff recruitment and equipment.

"I'd like to thank anyone who has a Terriers Account for their continued support."

Under 18s can open a Terriers Account at their local branch of YBS with as little as £1, over 18s with £100.

Anyone who opens an account will receive a voucher for two free home league tickets, as well as a voucher for a HTAFC piggy bank!
