You buy your seat; we'll get you out of it

The best fans

I am lucky enough to have spent most of my life in football and I know that a Club's most valuable asset is its supporters.

I knew Huddersfield Town had a fantastic fanbase when I accepted the job as manager back in December, but the passion you have for the Club is as fervent as I have experienced in my career. The enthusiasm you have when you get behind the players out on the pitch is a credit to you and the Club. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the backing you have given me and my coaching staff since our arrival.

The support you have given us at our home games has been amazing and has made a real difference, as can be seen in the results we have enjoyed on our own soil. When our Stadium is full it produces one of the most intense atmospheres around and you cannot help but be inspired and driven onto greater things.

High aspirations

The 2009/10 season in League One will not be easy because a number of sides will be in contention for promotion, but I am confident that we can be successful. By supplementing our already talented squad over the summer with players that possess the quality necessary for this level and higher I feel we will be in a strong position to turn this Club's potential into a reality.

I want the side to entertain you but the most important thing is to have a winning team. The side will play with commitment, character and a desire to win and those qualities will pervade every player and member of staff here at the Club. Rest assured that the players will be ultra-fit which they need to be to play the style of passing football that I demand.

The ethic of the team will be based on hard work, discipline and organisation and the players will be motivated for every match in which they play. I want the players to have belief and be brave enough to get on the ball and pass it as much as possible because that is how we will create chances, score goals and enjoy success at this Club.

Let's build something special

I believe we have one of the best backroom teams here at Huddersfield and I am confident that we achieve great things next season. Together with our new Chairman Dean Hoyle we have huge ambitions and are already laying the foundations for the whole of the Club, from the First Team through to the Academy, to move forward together. Obviously our short-term aim is to play Championship football, but as a Club we have a clear set of long-term ambitions.

I am proud to be manager of Huddersfield Town and I am very excited about what we could achieve over the coming years. I know that you all share that passion and I hope you will join us and be a part of what we are trying to do here, because your support will make a real difference. It is a new era here at the Club and we plan to make it a success from the outset.

Thanks for your continued support.
