RESERVE TITLE TO BE DECIDED TONIGHT

Posted on: Tue 28 Apr 2009

Paul Stephenson and the Town reserve side will be keeping an eye on proceedings at Elland Road this evening to see whether or not they will win this season's totesport.com League East Division title.

Leeds United reserves host their counterparts from Rotherham United in a 7pm kick-off this evening and if they fail to beat the Millers, Town will be confirmed as reserve league champions for the first time since the 2004/05 season.

Leeds go into this evening's game just one point behind Town Reserves in the League table, but their goal difference is inferior to that of Stephenson's side and they need to beat their visitors this evening to snatch the title away from Town's grasp (click HERE for the latest league table).

Whether Town Reserves are crowned Champions or not tonight, they have still enjoyed a terrific season in the totesport.com League - winning 11, drawing 4 and losing just 1 of their 16 games this term. Keigan Parker is top scorer for the second string this term with eight goals, whereas midfielder James Berrett has made the most starts (10) and Academy scholars Jack Hunt and Lewis Nightingale the most appearances with 11 in total.
