Town's reserve side are still unbeaten in the 08/09 season after this impressive victory, in which former Town man Chris Brandon scored the Bantams' consolation goal.

Town started the game in an orthodox 4-4-2 formation with returning 'keeper Eastwood behind a back four of Skarz, skipper Unsworth, Franks and Tom Clarke. Hunt and Codman occupied the right and left wings respectively with Harris and Flynn in central midfield, leaving Parker to partner Denton in attack.

GOAL - Town took the lead on the quarter-hour mark through Joe Skarz. The full-back had got forward to support an attack after impressive midfielder Harris had played in Keigan Parker down the right flank; the Scottish forward went past the left-back before delivering a low cross that Skarz converted when six yards out at the back post.

GOAL - The Terriers extended their lead in the 22nd minute through Keigan Parker. The forward capitalised on a mix-up in the Bradford defence to latch onto a long clearance from Unsworth and lob the 'keeper from the edge of the penalty area.

GOAL - Keigan Parker grabbed his second of the game in the 36th minute to further extend the lead in an almost carbon-copy of his first goal. Another moment of confusion between two home defenders presented the former Blackpool man with the opportunity to nick the ball and send a high lob towards the goal that custodian Convey could only palm into the back of his own net.

Bradford then missed out on an opportunity to get a foothold back in the game when Town 'keeper Eastwood saved a 40th minute penalty. A combination of Eastwood and Tom Clarke brought down a Bradford attacker on the right corner of the penalty area but Simon pulled off a brilliant save to deny winger Joe Colbeck, pushing his initial effort wide before recovering and smothering the loose ball.

Captain Unsworth had to be alert ten minutes into the second-half to head a Bradford header off the line, but he could do nothing about the only Bradford goal of the game in the 70th minute.

GOAL - Bradford scored a consolation with twenty minutes to go with former Terrier Chris Brandon sending a curling 25-yard free-kick into the bottom corner of Eastwood's goal after Unsworth had been penalised for a challenge on Barry Conlon.

GOAL - Town soon re-established their three goal lead four minutes later when Keigan Parker completed his hat-trick. Substitute Aiden Chippendale played a fantastic 40-yard pass through to the striker, splitting the two Bradford centre-backs, with Parker sliding the ball calmly into the net to the goalkeeper's right-hand side.

Parker almost scored a fourth with another lobbed effort in the 80th minute, but 'keeper Convey managed to get back and hold the effort.
