Town's reserve side maintained their 100% start to the totesport.com league season with victory at Barnsley despite a late fight-back from the home side at Oakwell.

A 14th minute goal from in-form striker Danny Broadbent gave the Terriers the lead before Academy players Jack Hunt and Dave Heagney netted to put Mick Docherty's side into a three-goal lead and the young side secured all three points to remain top of the League despite two late goals from Jamil Adam.

Broadbent capitalized on a loose Barnsley pass out of defence to beat Barnsley custodian Kyle Letheren early on in the fixture to give Town the lead going into the interval before midfielder Hunt and under-18 top scorer Heagney put the side into an unassailable lead in two second-half minutes just after the hour mark.

Barnsley striker Adam nodded home a cross from Reuben Noble-Lazarus in the 71st minute before scoring a second in the 83rd, despite an outstanding initial save from Town custodian Alex Smithies, but the Terriers were well worth all the points at Oakwell.

Docherty's side will now take on local rivals Bradford City at AFC Emley's Welfare Ground tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2pm.
