John Dungworth's second-string travel to Chester City today for a 2pm kick-off in the Pontin's Holidays Cup first round in a game that should provide some good match fitness for several of Town's first-team players.

Defender David Mirfin (pictured), Club Captain Jon Worthington and Danny Schofield all line up in a relatively strong Reserve team tonight as they make a return from their respective injuries.

Town will be hoping to progress past the Round Robin stage of the Cup having recorded an opening game win against Tranmere Rovers in mid-August and with Morecambe still to play in 14 days time.

It looks like Town will line up 4-4-2 for the game, with England under-17 goalkeeper Alex Smithies protected by a back four, from left to right, of; second-year Academy scholar Danny Codman, recent debutant Shane Killock, David Mirfin and Captain Aaron Hardy. In midfield, Worthington will be partnered by Mitchell Bailey in the centre with Academy player Curtis Roberts on the right and Danny Racchi on the left. Up front, Schofield will be partnered by Lucas Akins. The bench will be made up of Academy scholars.
