Centre back Krystian became Lee Clark's first signing of the 2009 January transfer window when he joined on a deal until the end of the 2009/10 season from Birmingham City.
The England under-19 international has extensive League One experience, having started 38 games for Scunthorpe United during their promotion campaign last term.
A former Player of the Year in the Blues Academy, the powerful youngster has also enjoyed loan periods with Notts County and Port Vale during his embryonic career.
He is contracted at Town until the summer of 2010.
