Lucas made his first-team debut in late April 2007, when he replaced Luke Beckett during the 1-1 draw between Town and Northampton at Sixfields. Soon after, he signed his first professional deal with his hometown club that will see him stay at the Galpharm until the summer of 2008.
A powerful striker who has great strength on the ball and a real turn of pace, Lucas was top scorer for the under-18 team last term and he is highly regarded by the coaching staff. He will be looking to challenge for a regular place in the first-team this term.
