The younger of Town's two Clarke brothers, former England under-19 international Tom progressed through the Town Academy before signing his first professional contract in January 2005.
He made his first team debut barely a month later during the 2-1 defeat at Milton Keynes Dons and became a regular feature in the Town line-up, but missed most of the 2006/07 season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in a harmless-looking tackle against Carlisle United.
After fighting his way back from injury, Tom picked up where he left off and enjoyed his best run in the side in central midfield under Lee Clark during the 2009/10 campaign. Unfortunately bad luck struck again when he suffered a repeat injury - unbelievably in his other knee - against Millwall in the first leg of the end of season Play-Offs.
Equally at home in central midfield, at centre back or at full back Tom is a valuable asset to the squad and signed a new contract in the summer. Upon his return in the New Year he will be looking to pick up where he left off.
