A product of Town's successful Academy, Andy earned his first professional deal in the summer of 2003 and made his first-team debut shortly afterwards, coming on as a substitute during the 2-1 win over Bristol Rovers at the Galpharm Stadium in August of that year.
A versatile player who can be deployed in either defence or midfield, Pontefract-born Holdsworth is contracted to Town until the summer of 2009. He has an excellent range of passing, combined with great positional sense and he is the current reigning Player of the Season.
