Huddersfield striker Danny Cadamarteri thinks the sky's the limit for the club.

Andy Ritchie's revolution is gathering pace and the Terriers showed they are not to be taken lightly in League One with consecutive league wins over Yeovil and Bournemouth to get the new season off to flying start.

In fact, a Town win yesterday against Carlisle would have seen the club get off to their best start for 28 years, and make Ritchie a certainty for the August manager of the month award.

While Ritchie's squad have got the perfect platform to work from, his resources are depleted some-what by injuries, with new recruit Cadamarteri being one of several stars left frustrated on the sidelines.

However, the 27-year-old, pictured to the right, is back training with the first-team squad after recovering from a hamstring knock.

And even though the former Bradford-forward hasn't been at the club long, he admits to being excited about the potential of the team.

Cadamarteri said: "We haven't got a big squad but with the actual team we've got, the players in and around the team, I think the sky's the limit.

"I think it's down to us really. We have a lot of very good individuals - we have young players who are hungry and want to do well.

"I think sometimes when you have a team of older players there isn't that same hunger there.

"It's a different sort of mentality here. There are young players who are coming through that have gained a bit of experience in the last few seasons.

"They had a taste with the play-offs and obviously last season was a big disappointment for everybody not reaching the same heights as they had done the year before.

"It's all about trying to get back to those heights again.

"I don't want to say we are going to go up automatically or reach the play-offs. If we work hard, the sky's the limit for us."

Cadamarteri was one of three summer signings made by Ritchie, who's still searching for a long-term loan player before the transfer window closes this Friday.

No player relishes being injured, but Cadamarteri does take solace from the way he's adjusted to his new surroundings.

"I'm enjoying my football. It's good to be back close to home - I was a bit far away from my family at Leicester," he said.

"It's been easy to settle in. It's quite a young squad but there are no big-time Charlie's, everyone's on an even keel.

"It's not a case that I've come into an unsettled squad; I've come to place with a good set of lads."

Meanwhile, the West Yorkshire club have wrapped-up a deal for Barnsley left-back Robbie Williams.

The 22-year-old's move to the Galpharm has been on the cards for months, but an injury while training with the Tykes prevented Williams from signing before the start of the season.

He said: "I was at Barnsley for 10 years and I think it was time for me to move on.

"This is a fresh start and I'm looking forward to it."
