htafc.com caught up with new Town manager Lee Clark today ahead of his first game in charge of the first team against Hereford at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday to get his thoughts:

"I've been delighted by the response of the players this week - they have showed the same fantastic attitude that was evident at Southend last Saturday," Lee explained to the Club's official website. "What we have asked them to do, they have to the best of their ability and that is proof of their terrific attitude.

"Having watched the team at Southend last weekend it was obvious that we have good players to work on. They showed that they have a great appetite and we have seen that all this week in training.

"They have all made it difficult for me to pick the team. The players have produced all week in training and I thought the senior lads showed a fantastic attitude in the reserve game on Wednesday. As a result I have a few selection problems, but you would rather have that issue.

"The only injury we have picked up is to Daniel Codman, who picked up a knock in the reserve game. He joins Andy Booth and Joe Skarz on the sidelines and although Daniel Broadbent is back in training following his ankle injury, he is not ready for the weekend. Everyone else is available.

"We have reports on Hereford from their last two or three games and I actually watched their game at Colchester live a couple of weeks ago myself. We have briefed the players on a day by day basis and they have taken it all on board and have done very well. They have a very experienced manager and I expect them to make it very difficult for us. It will be up to us to break them down and although we respect the opposition, it will be about what we do on the day.

"I've really enjoyed this week, but the only thing that will cap it off is three points against Hereford on Saturday. Everything we do is geared towards winning football matches and although this week couldn't have gone any better, it's all down to what happens on Saturday at 3pm."
