Town's second pre-season game ahead of the 2007/08 League One campaign takes place on Saturday as Andy Ritchie's squad make the trip North to face Northern Premier League Division One North side Bridlington Town.

Wednesday's 3-0 win at AFC Emley was expected but Town fans will have been encouraged by the signs from their team in what was the opening pre-season run-out. A fair following is expected from Huddersfield for tomorrow's game (3pm kick-off) and it should be a decent test for Town ahead of the season.

Bridlington Town play in a predominantly all red kit at the Queensgate Ground, which holds 3000 (740 seated). htafc.com is of the belief that Saturday's game is the first time the sides have met and as with the Emley game, Town will be taking a full-strength squad.

The game will take place in an unorthodox format, with three 30 minute periods taking place as opposed to the two normal 45-minute halves.

Fans pay on the day at the turnstiles - £6 for Adults and £3 for Concessions.

Form

As has been mentioned, Town have only had one friendly so far - the 3-0 at the Welfare Ground against AFC Emley. The goals came from new boy Danny Cadamarteri (penalty), Luke Beckett and Matthew Young and Town showed their intentions for the coming season by employing good width on the pitch and quick, crisp passing of the ball.

Bridlington, on the other hand, have not played any pre-season friendlies as of yet and so their form is an unknown. Given that Town are five steps above their hosts in the Football League pyramid, it would be expected that Ritchie's squad will have a physical edge over their part-time opponents.
