Town play their final game of the 2008/09 season at Leyton Orient on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.

Although Town can still usurp Southend United into 8th place this term, the focus on this game centres around Andy Booth - the legendary Town striker is set to make his 452nd and last appearance in the famous blue and white stripes on Saturday and will be hoping to net a historic 150th goal for the Club.

Boothy's last game has attracted substantial interest in Town circles and a sizeable away following is expected in London, but Orient will not make things easy - manager Geraint Williams will want his side to finish the season in winning style as he awaits the decision on his own long-term future at the Matchroom Stadium (the former Colchester boss is out of contract in the summer).

FORM

Orient come into the game in decent form, but the O's home record for the last two seasons leaves a bit to be desired. Only two teams have a worse home record in League One - the London side have won just 6 and drawn 5 of their 22 home League games this term. Last season, only three teams had a poorer home record.

However, Orient enter Saturday's game having won 7 and drawn 1 of their last 12 games in all competitions. Two of those losses have come in their last two games - at home to Northampton and away at Millwall.

Geraint Williams' side have the 8th best defence in the League, having conceded just 56 goals so far this season. However, only two teams have scored fewer goals - Orient's 44 goals averages out at less than a goal a game. Adam Boyd is the Club's top scorer this season with 12 goals, but has missed out through injury recently.

Orient's games seem to come alive between the 40th and 45th minutes. During that five minute spell they have scored 7 and conceded 9 goals, which is more than at any other time during the 90 minutes.

Town's weekend opponents are particularly adept at gaining points from losing positions in games. The O's have gained 19 points from games in which they fell behind, which is the 3rd best record in the division. Incidentally, Town are the League leaders in this category having gained a massive 22 points from being behind.

PAST MEETINGS

There have been plenty of clashes between Town and Orient over the years and at the moment, the Terriers hold a slight advantage over this weekend's hosts. In all competitions and at all venues, Town have beaten the London side 21 times compared to 19 defeats and 15 draws.

However, games held in London have favoured the home side. Orient have beaten Town 18 times at Brisbane Road compared to 7 Town victories and just 3 draws.

Four of the last five games between the two sides - and all of the last three - have ended with a 1-0 scoreline to one side. Orient were the beneficiaries of that scoreline last time out, with an early goal from Adam Boyd settling the clash at the Galpharm Stadium on November 25th.

Town boss Lee Clark would love a repeat of Town's record win at Orient, which came on November 1st 1958. Bill Shankly was the Huddersfield manager at the time and he masterminded a 5-2 win at Brisbane Road, with the Town goals coming courtesy of Les Massie, Stan Howard, Derek Hawksworth, Kevin McHale and an own goal.

INS & OUTS

When Town played Orient back in late November Martin Ling was in the managerial hotseat but he left the Club back on January 18th with the Club in the League One relegation zone. He has since been replaced by former Colchester boss Geraint Williams, who has now steered the Club to a safe 15th in the table.

Several players have come and gone from Orient since our last meeting in late November. Tottenham player Charlie Daniels joined on a free transfer in January and can operate anywhere down the left side of the pitch and he was quickly joined at the Matchroom Stadium by Wigan defender Luke Ashworth, who also moved on a free.

Ling and then Williams have since supplemented his squad with a series of good loan signings; West Ham United defender Jordan Spencer moved to the Club in late November and is regular at centre-back whereas young Chelsea winger Jimmy Smith is currently playing on the right side of midfield. Orient also have a new strike force, consisting of Reading loanee Simon Church and Wycombe's Scott McGleish.

Other loanees who featured against Town in November have since left the Club - Tottenham's Simon Dawkins is back at White Hart Lane whereas target man Sam Parkin is now back with League Two Luton Town. Meanwhile, young Orient midfielder Solomon Shields has joined St. Albans City on loan to gain first-team experience.

TEAM NEWS - TOWN

Town boss Clark only has a few injury problems ahead of this weekend's game, with long term victims Malvin Kamara and Matt Glennon recovering from their respective knee problems.

Anthony Pilkington has missed the last two games with the groin injury he picked up against Carlisle United on Easter Monday, but he could feature in London on Saturday after making a good recovery.

Fellow midfielder Jim Goodwin is usually a regular in the Town team, but Clark could chose to leave him on the bench for this weekend's game. The Irishman has accumulated 14 yellow cards in the current season and another at the Matchroom Stadium on Saturday would mean he is suspended for the start of the 09/10 campaign.

Saturday's game could be Liverpool loanee Martin Kelly's last in the blue and white stripes of the Club, but the Town boss has already made it clear that he wants the young defender back at the Galpharm next term.

TEAM NEWS - LEYTON ORIENT

Manager Williams will be without the injured trio of defender Alton Thelwell (ankle), midfielder Adam Chambers (calf) and striker Adam Boyd for this weekend's game but forward Ryan Jarvis returned from injury during their midweek reserve game against Ipswich and could feature at the weekend.

ONE TO WATCH - TAMIKA MKANDAWIRE

Tamika Mkandawire 320

A Malawian centre-back who has previously represented England at semi-professional level, Mkandawire is a 25-year old defender that signed for Leyton Orient from Hereford in the summer of 2007. A former West Bromwich Albion trainee, he left the Hawthorns without making a first-team appearance but soon established himself at Edgar Street, winning the Bulls' Player of the Year accolade two years running.

Tamika has been at the heart of the Orient defence all season, making 38 appearances and scoring a decent 5 goals. A tall player who reads the game well and passes the ball in an accomplished manner, he was a rock at the Galpharm Stadium during Orient's 1-0 win this term and the battle between him and Andy Booth promises to be an intriguing one on Saturday.
