BOURNEMOUTH: PRE-MATCH ANALYSIS
Town will play their second consecutive home game on Saturday when newly promoted AFC Bournemouth visit Huddersfield; kick-off 3pm on Saturday.
Eddie Howe's team have enjoyed a fantastic start to their first season back at League One level and arrive in West Yorkshire one place above Town in the embryonic table courtesy of a superior goal difference, so this game promises to be a very tough test of Town's credentials.
FORM
AFC Bournemouth lost their opening two games of the season following their promotion from League Two, with a 1-0 opening day defeat at Charlton Athletic preceding a 2-0 Carling Cup defeat at Southampton.
Eddie Howe's side soon put that tough start behind them with a thumping 5-1 victory over Peterborough United at Dean Court and an equally impressive 3-0 win at Tranmere Rovers, although they will have been disappointed to only draw 3-3 at home to Notts County last weekend after being 3-1 up.
Howe made a few changes to his side for Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy game against Torquay United but despite dominating the game they lost a penalty shootout to the League Two high-flyers after a 0-0 draw.
PAST MEETINGS
Town have enjoyed a good record against Bournemouth over the years, beating the Cherries on 16 occasions compared with 14 draws and nine losses in all competitions.
Games held in Huddersfield have also favoured the Terriers; there have been seven home wins, nine draws and only three Bournemouth victories, the last of which came in January 1993 at the old Leeds Road ground.
The last meeting between the two sides came in League One back on 29 January 2008, when a single goal from new signing Phil Jevons was enough to give Andy Ritchie's side a 1-0 home win.

INS & OUTS
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe strengthened his squad astutely following their promotion from League Two last term.
After netting an impressive 19 goals for Accrington Stanley last season, former Everton and Bradford City striker Michael Symes moved to Dean Court on a free transfer. Talented winger Marc Pugh also made a free transfer move from Hereford United after turning down a new deal.
Experienced striker Steve Lovell joined on a free from Scottish side Partick Thistle, whereas right-back Stephen Purches is now in his second spell at Bournemouth after a three year exile at Leyton Orient.
Left back Rhoys Wiggins also moved to the Club from Norwich City following his successful loan spell last season.
Bournemouth also continued with their impressive record of bringing in non-league talent, signing defender Mitchell Nelson from Tooting and Mitcham and midfielder Harry Arter from Woking. Most recently striker Lyle Taylor has joined from Concorde Rangers.
Only a few players left Bournemouth in the summer; striker Jeff Goulding is now at Cheltenham Town, whereas defender Scott Guyett, veteran midfielder Sammy Igoe and striker Alan Connell were all released.
However, the Cherries have seen one major player depart since the start of the season - striker Brett Pitman. The highly-rated forward was being tracked by a raft of clubs and after rejecting a deal at Premier League Blackpool, he moved to Championship Bristol City for an undisclosed fee in mid-August.

TEAM NEWS - TOWN
The Terriers are without a few players for this weekend's visit through a mixture of international call-ups and injuries.
Winger Graham Carey - who put in a superb Man of the Match performance against Charlton Athletic last weekend - is away with Ireland's under-21 squad whereas Scott Arfield is with the Scotland under-21 squad. However, Alex Smithies is back with Town for the game; he was called up to England's under-21 squad for the first time last week, but has returned to the Club to play this weekend before possibly rejoining his international teammates for the UEFA qualifier early next week.
Left back Gary Naysmith looks set to miss the game with his toe problem, whereas long term injury victims Nathan and Tom Clarke (both knee) are still on the road to recovery.
Lee Clark can welcome back right-back Lee Peltier to his squad this weekend after he served a one-match ban last weekend, with Anthony Pilkington also available following his twisted ankle.

TEAM NEWS - AFC BOURNEMOUTH
Strikers Michael Symes and Josh McQuoid both missed Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy game through injury, with Jayden Stockley and Lyle Taylor possible replacements if they don't make this weekend's game.
Left back Rhoys Wiggins was not risked in midweek due to an ankle problem, so Warren Cummings replaced him.

ONE TO WATCH - MARC PUGH

Marc signed for the Cherries in the summer after a successful season at League Two Hereford United last year, when he scored an impressive 13 goals in 46 appearances.
Formerly a player at Burnley, Bury and Shrewsbury Town, 23-year old Pugh is a natural left winger and was much sought after during the closed season - an understandable fact given his start at Dean Court, where he has scored two goals in six appearances.
The battle between Pugh and Town's defence will be an intriguing one this weekend.
