Town welcome table toppers Norwich City to the Galpharm on Saturday for what promises to be one of the toughest tests of the campaign; kick-off 3 pm.

Town may have had a week to forget on the road, but they are back on home soil this weekend looking to prolong their undefeated home League record. Lee Clark's former employees travel to Yorkshire on the back of a brilliant run of results which has seen them open up a four point gap over second place Leeds United.

FORM

Norwich have been in scintillating form of late, winning 12 games out of the last 14 League games. At the beginning of this very impressive run of results they were eight points behind League leaders Leeds; however, 14 games later, Paul Lambert's men have a four point lead and look set for automatic promotion back to the Championship.

The Canaries have won their last three games in the League and look likely to be one of the toughest tests Town will face at home this season.

PAST MEETINGS

There is nothing between the two sides when looking at their previous clashes - over the past 38 meetings Town and Norwich have both been victorious on 11 occasions; the remaining 16 games were settled as stalemates.

The majority of the stalemates have occurred at the Galpharm - despite this, Town do hold the advantage over games played in West Yorkshire. The Terriers have defeated the Canaries five times at home whereas Norwich have only been victorious on three occasions; ten matches at the Galpharm have been played out as draws.

The last home meeting between the two teams was back in 2001in the Championship. A goal in each half from Craig Armstrong and Delroy Facey resulted in Town taking all three points in front of 11,122 fans at the Galpharm.

Norwich's last win at the Galpharm was well over ten years ago back in 1997, when the Canaries won 3-1; controversial Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy bagged the second goal that afternoon.

INS AND OUTS

Having joined the Club following the close of the summer transfer window, Paul Lambert didn't have the opportunity to alter his squad. However, he took full advantage of the January transfer window - making 11 changes to his crop of players.

His four most notable signings were all on a permanent basis. His first two signings arrived on the 4th January; right-back Russell Martin and winger Anthony McNamee joined from Peterborough and Swindon respectively and both have played important roles following their arrivals - especially Martin, who has been ever present in the starting line up since his move.

4 days later Lambert signed two more players in the shape of American defender Zak Whitbread and forward Oli Johnson from League One strugglers Stockport County. Houston-born defender Whitbread joined from Millwall and was once on the books of Liverpool during his early days in football.

Lambert's only permanent departure during the winter transfer window was right-back Jon Otsemobor; the former Liverpool trainee moved to the South Coast to join Southampton.

In total Lambert completed six loan deals, recruiting two new players and letting four leave. Former Manchester City striker Stephen Elliot joined from Championship side Preston, providing cover for Norwich's hot-shot goalscorer Grant Holt. The manager's second loan signing was defender Michael Rose; like Johnson, Rose joined from cash-strapped Stockport County until the end of the season.

Three of the loan players to depart during the transfer window moved down a League - winger Simon Whaley joined promotion chasing Chesterfield, Welsh defender Rhoys Wiggins transferred to Bournemouth and striker Jamie Cureton joined Shrewsbury.

The final departure for Norwich during the January transfer window was Owain Tudor Jones - the Welsh midfielder moved to League One rivals Yeovil.

TEAM NEWS - TOWN

Lee Clark could hand a return back to the starting eleven for Lee Peltier on the weekend. Peltier has missed the last two games as a result of the injury he sustained in the West Yorkshire derby against Leeds on February 27th but the right-back is very close to a return and will surely be in Clark's thoughts if he is declared fit.

Town have one definite absentee this weekend - Nathan Eccleston is suspended following his straight red card in his last outing at Gillingham and will serve the first game of his three match ban.

ONE TO WATCH - WES HOOLAHAN

Wes Hoolahan 320

Norwich have arguably been the best attacking side in the League this season and the Town defence will have to be on top of their game if they are to prevent them scoring.

However, the player that makes the whole attacking operation tick is attacking midfielder Wes Hoolahan. The Republic of Ireland international played his trade in Ireland and Scotland until he moved to Blackpool in 2006, where he made an immediate impact.

Two years later Glenn Roeder paid an undisclosed fee to bring Hoolahan to Carrow Road and the midfielder quickly became an integral part of the Norwich side, mainly as a provider for the side's strikers. However, this term Hoolahan has become a goal-scoring midfielder playing just off Grant Holt and Chris Martin, having scored 11 goals in 31 appearances.
