Lee Clark talked to htafc.com following the 0-0 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion.

"It was a bit scrappy, but I would think that Gus is happy with his side's efforts as they put us under a lot of pressure at times. We had one or two half-chances in the first half, but I thought we did better in the second - certainly when we moved to two up top we had opportunities to nick a goal and the three points.

"I have just told the players that we are not firing on all cylinders at the moment in terms of our fluent football performances, but I have asked them to grind out results away from home and that is two clean sheets on the bounce away, in which we have taken four points. I need them both together now - that determination and desire alongside the football that we know we can play.

"This is definitely a better point than the draw against Carlisle on Saturday, because at home you expect to take three points. If we had done, it would have made tonight's good result a great one. However, as we drew at home it just makes it a good result. We just need to get our attacking play reorganised and become a bit more of a threat, like we were four or five games ago - that is my challenge now."

Robbie Simpson was one of four new introductions into the starting line-up tonight and Lee felt he worked hard for the team.

"We didn't give Robbie much quality ball to be honest. We went with a little bit of a different formation, but I felt that Brighton were getting too much of a foothold in the game. We started the second half better, but my thought process throughout the second half was that we needed to get two strikers on and give them a few more problems - which I felt we did.

"All the players have to deliver because we have such a big squad, but I just thought Jordan looked a little bit jaded on Saturday. He has just turned 20 and he has been involved in every game for us at the business end of the pitch, where he is up against big lads that give him plenty of whacks. I wanted to try and freshen things up and keep him fresh, but I thought him and Lee made a positive contribution when they came on.

"We have some disappointed boys in the dressing room that have not got onto the pitch tonight, but from now until the end of the season there will be changes regardless of the results - it's a case of 'horses for courses'. Everyone has to perform and keep achieving positive results to stay in the side.

"Of course I want more - I want the perfect performances - but we are unbeaten in six and have kept two clean sheets in a row away from home, in which we have taken four points. We need to get back to winning at home to compliment this improves streak of results on the road."
