EDEN PROJECT FOR HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

Posted on: Sat 04 Sep 2010

The football club is encouraging supporters to go to Eden bar/nightclub in the Beast Market on a matchday to meet fellow Town fans and enjoy a pre-match drink.

The bar, which has recently been painted blue, will have official Huddersfield Town merchandise and programmes on sale and will eventually show replays of the previous game on its screens.

Eden is owned by TLC Media, the company that created the first team player 'idents' which can be seen on the big screen each matchday.

On the relationship, Commercial Director Sean Jarvis said: "We are always looking for new ways to get the Club and brand into the community and this tie-up gives us an opportunity to offer our supporters something different on a matchday.

"We also get a percentage of sales on drinks from Eden so we'd encourage as many supporters to go as possible as it's a win-win situation.

"TLC is a company with many strings to its bow and we are looking forward to exploring other opportunities with them."

Tony Hodges from Eden said: "We are please to working with Huddersfield Town and we hope supporters will back this venture and make it a success.

"Primarily, we aim to provide a safe family environment for Town fans and their families and on match days.

"Over the course of the season, we are proposing to offer post-match entertainment in the form of bands, comedians and guest speakers and we will run charity events for the Knight of Yorkshire and other deserved causes that Town supports."
