Happy Birthday Ronnie Jepson!

Town Assistant Manager Ronnie Jepson turns 45 today, having been born on this day in Audley, Stoke on Trent in 1963.

A relative latecomer to professional football at the age of 25, Ronnie started off his pro career at Port Vale and played for several clubs before really making a name for himself at Exeter City in 1991. His goalscoring record at St. James Park brought him to the attention of then Town boss Neil Warnock, who brought him to Yorkshire in 1993 for £70,000.

Ron immediately forged a partnership with a young Andy Booth and their combined total of 35 goals fired the Terriers to promotion via the Wembley Play-Offs in 1995.

Let's hope that Ronnie can celebrate his birthday next year with Town's promotion to the Championship already secured!
