1963

Huddersfield Town 4 Swansea Town 1

A debut goal from Alan Gilliver was one of many highlights as Eddie Boot's Town side recorded their first win in six by beating Swansea Town at Leeds Road on this day in 1963.

Manager Eddie Boot watched on as John Bettany, Len White (pictured) and Kevin McHale grabbed the other goals, but this win was too late for the Terriers to mount an effective promotion challenge. The Terriers finished sixth in Division Two, with the Welsh visitors finishing a comfortable 15th.
