Town will be led out by skipper Jon Worthington today |
Town's Caretaker Manager Gerry Murphy has brought Jon Worthington and Gary Taylor-Fletcher back into the side for his first ever starting eleven against Bradford in this lunchtime kick-off.
Arguably two of Town's most vital players, Worthy and Fletch return from injury and suspension respectively. Chris Brandon and Matty Young are the unlucky players who miss out.
Matt Glennon will be protected by a back four of Andy Holdsworth, loanee Andy Taylor, Dave Mirfin and Frank Sinclair. Ahead of them, Worthington and Taylor-Fletcher join Danny Schofield and Michael Collins to form Town's midfield with Luke Beckett and new man Paul Hayes in attack.
The main team news for the visitors is that Caretaker Manager David Wetherall plays alongside Mark Bower at centre-back. It is the veteran defender's first start since taking over the managers' role at Valley Parade. The other news item for the Bantams is that Watford loanee Moses Ashikodi makes his Bradford debut as part of a two-man strike force alongside Billy Paynter.
