Three of Town's squad currently out on loan played for their respective teams over the weekend.

Defender Joe Skarz (pictured above) made his tenth appearance for League Two promotion contenders Shrewsbury Town, but could not prevent his new team from falling to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of runaway League leaders Rochdale. 'Skarzy's' next game is on Saturday when the Shrews travel to Aldershot Town.

Meanwhile Phil Jevons could not add to his season total of 17 goals for League Two Morecambe in his 35th game of the campaign as they drew 1-1 at home to lowly Grimsby Town. 'Jevo' played 74 minutes at Christie Park and should be in the starting line-up when Morecambe travel to Hereford United on Tuesday evening.

Finally first-year professional Lewis Nightingale made his Salford City debut on Saturday as they recorded a 1-1 home draw with Warrington Town in the Unibond League Division One North. The Academy graduate played on the left wing for the Ammies and impressed everyone with his skill and pace, going close to scoring with a first-half drive that the 'keeper turned around the post.

He will be back in action for his new side when Salford travel to Rossendale on Tuesday evening.

Four more Town players didn't feature for their loan clubs over the weekend for a plethora of reasons; midfielder Jim Goodwin has now missed the last six games for Oldham Athletic due to a thigh strain, whereas fellow midfielder Ian Craney is still recovering from ankle surgery at Morecambe. Andy Butler was an unused substitute for Championship side Blackpool during their 3-2 away defeat at West Bromwich Albion, whereas winger Lionel Ainsworth played the same role for Brentford during their 3-3 draw at MK Dons. Finally, striker Tom Denton couldn't add to his six goal tally for Unibond League side Wakefield FC on Saturday as he is on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
