Huddersfield Town Football Club has forged an official link with its Ladies team, Huddersfield Town Ladies Football Club (HTLFC).
A loose partnership has been in place between the two sides since the Ladies side was founded back in 1988, but now the association has been made official after discussions between HTLFC Chairman David Mallin and the Huddersfield Town Board of Directors.
Huddersfield Town Ladies Football Club has five teams spanning all age groups from under-12s through to open age, with the senior team playing in the Women's Regional North East Premier Division. They play their home games up at AFC Emley's Welfare Ground - the same venue that Town Reserves play their afternoon fixtures in the totesport.com League.

Huddersfield Town Commercial Director Sean Jarvis expressed his delight at the new arrangement:
"The two entities have worked to a loose agreement in the past, but I am really pleased that we have made the arrangement more official. Huddersfield Town Ladies use our crest and represent the Club in their field, so I feel it is important that we are officially affiliated.
"Ladies football is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and I want Huddersfield Town to be at its forefront. This new relationship will hopefully open us up to a new audience and attract families to the Club, which is a major part of our core values and ethos."
David Mallin, Chairman of Huddersfield Town Ladies, commented:
"We are delighted to form this official link with Huddersfield Town and we trust that this will help our Club to develop and progress further over the coming years and to move up through the divisions. The official tie-up will help us to attract players of all ages both locally and from throughout Yorkshire in order to continue to promote Women's football in the region."
