Town have won the E.ON Family Club of the Year award for League 1 at the 2010 Football League Awards incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players.
The club received the award at a gala dinner at Grosvenor House, Park Lane on Sunday evening in front of 900 attendees from clubs, sponsors and the football industry.
This season Town launched a new 'Family Information Centre' situated just outside the stadium which offers families a first port of call on matchdays for any information they may need before the game.
Also catching the eye of the judges was the 'Fantastic Family Stand' which not only lives up to its name by offering fantastic value for money season tickets aimed at families but also has activity such as face painting, jugglers, free-gifts, balloon modellers and interactive branding that includes a chance for children to measure themselves against the team's goalkeeper!
The Club have teamed up with 200 schools in a successful '7's scheme', whereby children are invited to a game on their 7th birthday and given a free replica shirt.
The E.ON Family Club of the Year winner for League 1, Nigel Clibbens said: "This is great for people at the club. They are unsung heroes- we have an army of people working hard and it is very pleasing to see it being rewarded.
"We have a new owner at the club who has brought investment, the club is a new era and we are taking a fresh look at things. We want to establish Huddersfield Town as a respected team - we can't rely on just the players to do everything, the club needs to work hard."
