Four of Town's loanees have been in action for their respective clubs this week.
Defender Andy Butler made his second appearance for Championship side Blackpool last night, replacing Danny Coid as a half-time substitute during their home game with high-flying West Bromwich Albion. Unfortunately, 'Butty' conceded a late penalty when he was adjudged to have fouled striker Ishmael Miller in the area and Graham Dorrans converted to make the final scoreline 3-2 to the Baggies.
Meanwhile, winger Lionel Ainsworth made his Brentford debut - playing 73 minutes during their 3-1 reserve team victory over Millwall at Griffin Park.
Elsewhere, Academy scholar James Spencer could not prevent Blue Square North side Northwich Victoria falling to a 5-2 home defeat at the hands of a strong Droylsden outfit. Jimmy played the full ninety minutes in his fourth game for the Club, but Andy Preece's side crashed to their first defeat of 2010.
Striker Tom Denton (pictured) made a successful third debut for Wakefield FC on Tuesday evening, scoring a brace in their 6-3 West Riding Cup victory over Liversedge. Tom gave his side a 4-0 lead in the first half with a close range finish before adding to his total with a volley into the top corner in the second-half - a goal described as the 'goal of the game' by the Wakefield FC website. Tom was awarded the 'Man of the Match' accolade for his display over the ninety minutes.
