Town's on the field performances have rightly heralded some great plaudits this season; however, in a recent issue of 'Independent View', the Northern Programme Club Magazine, Give Us An H, Town's fantastic Matchday Magazine, is in the limelight!
The 'Independent View' is a 38 page magazine that gives an in-depth insight into the match day programmes of football teams in the northern region. Amongst the review section of the Christmas 2009 edition, there is a full page spread dedicated to Give Us An H.
"There are some quite stunning articles on view," the review explains. "'What's in a Name?' is a player interview with a difference. And while he could have stayed with the standard interview format seen in other programmes around the country, Town have looked for something different."
"Also the 'Whatever Happened To' feature is quite unique in terms of the content and angle of the subject. Unlike others, there is controversial comment included which has not been on the end of a disgruntled reader or had any negative feedback."
Town's new, in-house design has dramatically changed the face of this season's magazine, which didn't go unnoticed.
"One of the plus points in this programme is the unique and impressive design used, which like most others from the larger producers, is not mirrored elsewhere. The perfect-bound spine is another attraction which not only provides a flat-style production; it removes the worry of potential rusted staples in years to come.
"(Give Us An H is) Certainly one of the best programmes to come out of League One this season and one to watch in the programme awards. The enthusiasm and drive for constant success by the staff will ensure that this programme is not a 'one season wonder' as plans are afoot for even more improvements with one eye cast on next season's production already."
