Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark has extended the loan of striker Nathan Eccleston from Liverpool until the end of the current season.
The 19-year old forward made an immediate impact on his Huddersfield Town debut at the weekend, scoring the match-winning goal at Yeovil Town and impressing the travelling supporters with his positive play and lightening pace.
With the transfer window slamming shut at 5pm today (Monday), Clark has swooped to turn the player's one month emergency loan into a standard loan covering the remainder of the League One season.
"We originally wanted to bring Nathan in on a longer-term loan, but paperwork takes time and we had to ensure he was available for the Yeovil game, so we initially put it through for a month," manager Clark commented.
"There is still more to come from him, without a doubt. He only had a couple of sessions with the rest of the team ahead of Yeovil but I felt he bedded in really well; he worked hard, formed a good partnership with Jordan Rhodes and took his goal well. He gives us a good option in attack."
